After five and a bit years as one half of the ranger service in Knoydart, at the end of March I am leaving the job in the capable hands of Tommy and going it alone as a freelance photographer and writer. It's not a new thing for me; I've been writing guidebooks for ten years now and taking photographs for as long as I can remember. So, it's about time, I thought, to take the plunge and put all my energy into words and pictures. First job is some proofreading for Trailblazer and wedding photography this weekend. And a little wildlife photography and filming too.
